Good yet a bit complex
Time tracking should be quick and straightforward. TrackingTime covers both to a degree, yet I would applaud some simplification to call it a great app:
+ Grab the task you want to work on and start tracking. Nice and simple, without having to worry that it loses the tracked information if the computer goes idle (I had that with other apps).
+ Quick overview of the uncompleted tasks.
+ Add to-do’s and comments to keep all vital information in one place.
– It would be great to be able to get a summary how much time has been spent on a particular task in a given period. As I have a monthly payment system, I find myself having to duplicates tasks per month, so as to track how much was done only in that given month.
– As many tasks are very similar in the information needed a copy&adapt function would makes things even better.
I am sure the app works great for some businesses, e.g. who do not work on a monthly rhythm. For me I am still seeing if and how I can best make this app work for my work, before considering whether to pay for the PRO version.
