TrackingTime App Reviews
Great for teamwork
I use this app almost everyday to work in team and it’s a great solution for tracking time on projects, tasks, and team.
The App is wonderfull!!! It helps a lot in terms of organization of studies and work. I feel more confident about the hours I’ve actually worked, and the options are great. Only positive things to say untill now! Thank you very much for this helpfull App!
Intuitive, beautifully designed app that helps me tracking my rather complicated and versatile projects! The only feature I’m missing is the option of tracking offline - otherwise I have to always rely on my mobile internet (the app also exist for iOS) which is a bit annoying as the iOS app is less powerful. Keep it on, guys!
reason for giving just two stars is that there is no offline mode available I would like to have the choice what I share online and what I do not want to share with my mobile device and others… this is why i removed this app again thanks for understanding
The app works amazing for me. Sometimes its annoying that you have to assing every task to a project and every project to a company, but the moment you do your timesheet it just takes seconds and its perfect. I also like about it that I can always overview how many hours I have already worked on a project or for a certain customer. Overall great app. I dont mind the online problem, I like that the account is always synchronized, since I work from different computers.
Time tracking should be quick and straightforward. TrackingTime covers both to a degree, yet I would applaud some simplification to call it a great app: + Grab the task you want to work on and start tracking. Nice and simple, without having to worry that it loses the tracked information if the computer goes idle (I had that with other apps). + Quick overview of the uncompleted tasks. + Add to-do’s and comments to keep all vital information in one place. – It would be great to be able to get a summary how much time has been spent on a particular task in a given period. As I have a monthly payment system, I find myself having to duplicates tasks per month, so as to track how much was done only in that given month. – As many tasks are very similar in the information needed a copy&adapt function would makes things even better. I am sure the app works great for some businesses, e.g. who do not work on a monthly rhythm. For me I am still seeing if and how I can best make this app work for my work, before considering whether to pay for the PRO version.
As far as I have used the app, is organized and easy to understad, pretty superb, especially for being free! But, I dont understand why it requires the computer to be connected to the internet to function, and since at times I have to work in places where I do not have internet, I cant use it, for me is a mayor issue, therefore I have to still look for another program. Wish they had included this requirement in the description.
Very simple to use for just activity’s time tracking, but also fully customizable. It is much appreciated the reports section, that can export data in CSV which can be then easily imported into MS Excel or Open/Libre Office. The clean and essential interface is also a strength.
Nice free tracking app with a lot of features. Just a note for the developers: according to my habits, I’d like it to use the x red window button for closing just the window app instead of quitting, so i can hide the app and keep tracking my tasks. I know I can use the orange one to reduce window to the dock, but I think closing it without quitting its the most common expected behaviour nowadays Thank you for your work guys
Clean interface and easy to use. Just a suggestion: it would be nice to have the projects organized in a list instead of in a grid view, when you have lots of projects it’s difficult to find the one you want. Great support!
Nice design, but missing important features, buggy, and slow as molasses since it’s a web app wrapped in a frame. Example of bugs, white text on a white background. Possibly due to CSS not loading, not sure. If this was a native app, it would be much better. I’d really like to see idol detection, and be able to see my active timers in the menu bar.
I can’t ask anything more. I have been using it for last two months with my team. Our team located in different country and its a fantastic tools to keep track of each project. I love the fact you can also has Todo List on each Task. I like to suggest that if we could attach files to each Task, like screenshot etc it would be much better. Over all Thank you so much guys. Well Done
I’ve just started to use this app and I’m very impressed. The interface is easy to navigate and there are a lot of features. The OS X app syncs with the web app and I have yet to try the iOS apps. I can’t wait to try this some more.
Wasn’t so sure at first because it’s pretty new, but TrackingTime is really quite fantastic. Intuitive interface and lots of features. You can create projects which have subtasks, so that you can really break it down for your clients. No one likes vague approximations in an invoice! You can create nice reports and export all of your time to a CSV file - a feature I find quite useful. There is also a well designed dashboard that aggregates all of your stats. One of the best I’ve found.
1. FREAKING FREE 2. Cloud Based team management 3. Full screen mode for my second monitor 4. Seperate time tracking for each task in a project 5. to do lists in each task. 6. The reminder notification letting me know that the application is open but I havent been recording any time tracking 7. The time estimate feature
I have been looking for this kind of app for a month, and it’s better than the other app I experienced. Free is a big plus to compete the other apps. Good luck.
I love this app. I am a full time freelancer and this app has changed my daily life. It’s quick and easy to set up and modify as you get new projects, reports easily on when and where you’re spending your time and it reminds you when you are and aren’t tracking. My favorite feature is the notes and todo lists that you can create while time tracking a project. Before, I used Evernote to take notes and creates to dos but this has eliminated my need for the second app. I can track my time and take notes on what i worked on during that session all in one spot - it’s fantastic when i need to look back on my work. Best time tracker I’ve used - I would pay for this app but you don’t need to because it’s (luckily) free! Thanks Tracking Time!
I left a corporate job where time tracking/billing was the bane of our existence and thought I’d never use a time tracker again. Fast forward a couple years and now I’m a freelancer in the creative field. I found myself needing to keep better track of my hours on multiple on-going projects and spent one morning researching time trackers. The irony was not lost on me. Anyway this was by far the best one I found. It does everything I need: set up as many projects and tasks as I want; take notes, write to-dos, set budget; sync across my cloud devices so I can time on my iPhone if needed and then pick back up on my computer; remind me if I’ve left it running by accident. The only thing I can think of is to request that they do a light color/white color scheme. I’d pay for it. Honestly I’m surprised this thing is free, it’s very awesome of them to do. I haven’t used this with a team, just myself, so can’t speak to that. But if you are an individual looking for a great time tracker, this is it. Thanks creators!
